Faulty Footswitch - Another issue is that the foot switches BKB used in the 2007/2008, and some earlier Tube Drivers, were unreliable. I placed an Amperex 12AT7 in it and I must say it sounds very smooth. I don't really think the 12AX7 is suitable for my needs: to aggressive and with way to much gain! this content I would love to obtain this singing violin sound, something like Eric Johnson gets.

The Tube Driver looks like something from the bridge of the Enterprise from the 1960s Star Trek television show. Each one is hand made and checked out carefully by BK himself! I replaced the 12AX7 with a 12AU7 (JJ Electronic) for an overall warmer tone with more compression and a much wider range from powerful clean volume boost to soaring overdrive.A new BK one with the bias will probably run you between 250-300 bones.
